Therefore, when the emperor is weak, the princes usurpation; when the officials are strong, the princes threaten. In this way, they honor each other by rank, meet each other with goods, bribe each other for profit, and the etiquette of the world is in chaos. The princes dare not worship the emperor, and the officials dare not worship the princes. And the public temple is set up in private homes, which is not etiquette, and it started with the Three Huans.
