Therefore, sincerity is endless, and if it is endless, it will last long, and if it lasts long, it will be far-reaching, and if it is far-reaching, it will be broad and thick, and if it is broad and thick, it will be high and bright. Broad and thick is the reason why it carries things; high and bright is the reason why it covers things; long and long is the reason why it creates things. Broad and thick is comparable to the earth, high and bright is comparable to the sky, and long and long is boundless. Such things are revealed without being seen, change without moving, and are accomplished without doing anything. The way of heaven and earth can be fully described in one word. It is not two-fold, so its creation of things is unpredictable. The way of heaven and earth is broad, thick, high, bright, long and long. Now the sky is so bright and numerous, and it is infinite. The sun, the moon, the stars and the planets are connected to it, and all things are covered by it. Now the earth is as much as a handful of soil. It is so vast and thick that it can carry Mount Hua without being heavy, and shake the rivers and seas without leaking, and all things are carried by it. Now, a mountain is as numerous as a roll of stone, and as vast as it is, vegetation grows on it, animals live in it, and treasures are accumulated there. Now, a water is as numerous as a spoonful, and as vast as it is unfathomable, turtles, crocodiles, dragons, fish and tortoises live there, and wealth is accumulated there. The Book of Songs says: "The mandate of Heaven is everlasting!" This is why Heaven is Heaven. "Invisible is the purity of King Wen's virtue!" This is why King Wen is Wen, and it is also pure.
